Mother’s Day Cruise
Where: Montague Harbour, Galiano Island
When: May 11th to 14th
What: An unstructured weekend of cruising with Montague Harbour as the ultimate destination. Your Fleet Captain on Free Spirit is planning on leaving Silva Bay in time for the 11:39 slack at Gabriola Passage on Thursday, May 11th. After an afternoon of sailing, we will spend Thursday at anchor in Clam Bay. Friday will see us sailing (or motoring) to Montague Harbour where we will pick up a mooring buoy, anchor out or dock. Saturday will be spent either sailing around Parker or Prevost Island, depending on winds and your preferences, going ashore to the beach or a walk in the park or just relaxing on your boat. Saturday evening some of us will go to the Hummbingbird Pub for dinner while others may choose to eat aboard. Sunday morning we will try to organize a breakfast brunch ashore to mark Mother’s Day then we will leave for home. Your Fleet Captain’s plan is to cross into Georgia Strait by Porlier Pass at slack at 13:05 hrs.
