DESCRIPTION:  \nCome join us for a fun day on the water. A great chance to practice some boat safety maneuvers and maybe even get a bit of prawning done. Dan Coles and Steve Lelievre  at 2435 Spring Beach Drive will be our hosts.\nWe will start at Dan and Steve’s mooring ball off Spring Beach at 0930 hrs and then proceed to U37 buoy and then to a point near Pirates Cove and return to Spring Beach\, approximately 4 NM.  Boats can anchor in front of  Dan and Steve’s house.   There will be a BBQ  starting at 2 pm at Dan and Steve’s house for everyone\, even if you have not participated in the Regatta\, a great way to kick off the summer season. DESCRIPTION:Silva Bay Yacht Club fishing Derby \nOur club will hold a fishing derby in conjunction with the Annual Silva Bay fishing Derby.\nMembers can fish and register their fish with our club (free for our members) for club prizes and/or join the Silva Bay Derby for $50. The Derby has over $20\,000 worth of prizes and giveaways this year.\nTickets for the Silva Bay Derby can be purchased at Arbutus Home Building Centre\, Gone Fishin’\, the Harbour Chandler and Silva Bay Resort & Marina. \nFrom 4-7pm\, on Saturday September 6th the Silva Bay Yacht Club will have a concession to sell hot dogs and hamburgers. Volunteers are needed. The purpose of the concession is to bring more awareness of our club and proceeds are to go towards a new trophy for the Silva Bay Derby and the Gabriola PHC.  We are also hoping to provide some musical entertainment.
