DESCRIPTION:14 June 2025\, Saturday\n10am-4pm \nGet your Kayaks out! Dinghies and paddle boards welcome as well.\nLaunch at BRICKYARD Beach (GI-37 on map) at 10am.\nPaddle across to Mudge and then to SOUTH SANDY BEACH (B-17 on map) about 1.8NM\nLoraine Forster and Thomas Tambone will greet us at 11am for a POTLUCK PICNIC.\nBring a salad or picnic item to share\, Loraine and Thomas will bring a couple of folding tables.\nA BBQ will be available for those that want to cook.\nA beach blanket will be useful.   There are no washrooms\, only rocks.   Plastic bags for garbage is also useful.\nWe can explore Mudge for those that are adventurous.   It is about a 1 hour walk to Dodd’s narrows.\n(FYI low tide is at about 1418 hrs after which the tide turns to flood) \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.

SUMMARY:Boating Regatta and  SBYC BBQ
DESCRIPTION:  \nCome join us for a fun day on the water. A great chance to practice some boat safety maneuvers and maybe even get a bit of prawning done. Dan Coles and Steve Lelievre  at 2435 Spring Beach Drive will be our hosts.\nWe will start at Dan and Steve’s mooring ball off Spring Beach at 0930 hrs and then proceed to U37 buoy and then to a point near Pirates Cove and return to Spring Beach\, approximately 4 NM.  Boats can anchor in front of  Dan and Steve’s house.   There will be a BBQ  starting at 2 pm at Dan and Steve’s house for everyone\, even if you have not participated in the Regatta\, a great way to kick off the summer season. DESCRIPTION:Seafest on Cortes Island will be held on Saturday May 17th 2025.\nIt is an annual event that features BBQ and raw oysters\, steamed mussels and clams\, and more! Live music and local crafts will entertain you throughout the whole day.\nMusic starts at 11 am and serving begins at 11:30am and continues until about 4 pm\nTickets available at the event (in 2024 they were $25)\nSeafest is a celebration of island life.
