DESCRIPTION:SBYC Sailpast is the one event which members are ahem\, strongly encouraged to attend.  It’s an opportunity to share stories of past cruises\, meet old and new members\, pay respects to our past commodores\, and meet your 2025 SBYC Executive. SUMMARY:Cortes Seafood Festival
DESCRIPTION:Seafest on Cortes Island will be held on Saturday May 17th 2025.\nIt is an annual event that features BBQ and raw oysters\, steamed mussels and clams\, and more! Live music and local crafts will entertain you throughout the whole day.\nMusic starts at 11 am and serving begins at 11:30am and continues until about 4 pm\nTickets available at the event (in 2024 they were $25)\nSeafest is a celebration of island life. The enduring joy that results from good friends who spend time together in the community\, making and enjoying good food\, is a rare treasure. \nSeafest location yet to be determined in the past it has been held at Gorge Harbour\, Squirrel Cove and Smelt Bay Provincial park.  There is usually transportation from marinas to site. \nPlanned Itinerary  \nMeet in Sturt Bay on Texada Island.  Escapade will be there the week prior.\nMay 16th Leave  Sturt Bay for Cortes Island\, Gorge Harbour\nMay 17th Sea food festival\nMay 18th Leave Cortes for Hornby Island or other anchorage.\nMay 19th Depart Hornby for Home Port. \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.\n\n\n    \n\n\n        \n        \n                \n\n        \n\n        \n
